GTAnet is governed by a board of directors from the member organizations. Each member institution has the right to appoint a representative to the GTAnet. The board of directors is elected from those representatives. Up to two external directors (non-members) can also be appointed to the GTAnet board. There are a total of 9 directors positions on the board and each position is held for a 3-year term. Board Directors are volunteer positions and receive no remuneration. The Board of Directors elects an Executive Board committee which include the positions of Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary.
Board meetings are held on a monthly basis as required, with the Annual General Meeting in October. Annual general meetings can be attended by members of all organizations that are receiving GTAnet services.
